Neelam Kothari talks about the funny motorcycle mishap with Chunky Panday
Neelam Kothari recently told Galatta India about an experience working with Chunky Panday in his first film, Aag Hi Aag. Neelam talked about the ending scene where her character is almost marrying another person. Chunky needed to ride a motorbike like a “classic hero,” take her from the wedding place and leave.
The actress, Neelam Kothari remembered when she felt nervous about Chunky riding the bike. The actor persuaded her to join him on it. The star from Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives revealed he drove so quickly that he lost control, admitting he lacked knowledge on riding a bike. She recalled how he did a wheelie, which caused her to fall off while wearing her wedding dress and the motorbike landed on her. Thinking back on the event, she noted it could have been worse, as her whole leg was burnt because of him and she jokingly added she had felt like killing him. In her words:
“He’s driven so fast that he has lost control. He doesn’t know how to ride a bike. He’s done a wheelie and I have flown off with my wedding dress and the motorbike has fallen on me. It could have been really bad. My whole leg was burnt, thanks to him.”
Neelam Kothari wanted to ‘kill’ Chunky Pandey
Neelam Kothari recalled advising Chunky Panday to use someone else for the scene after the accident, but the actor proposed doing the scene himself. The Hum Saath Saath Hain actress shared that she truly wanted to ‘kill’ him for keeping her waiting on the sets of the 1987 movie, Aag Hi Aag .
Neelam Kothari said she was ready to shoot after getting her makeup fixed and practicing her lines. But then, Chunky left for the bathroom while they were filming. The actress from Aag Hi Aag mentioned that she had to prepare for her scene once more.
At the same event, Chunky’s spouse, Bhavana Pandey, who stars in Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives , shared how she assisted them in repairing their connection. Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives also features Maheep Kapoor and Seema Sajdeh, along with new members , Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Kalyani Chawla and Shalini Passi.
