Alice Kaushik is currently playing her game wisely in Salman Khan hosted show, Bigg Boss 18. She rose to fame because of her character in the hit serial, Pandya Store. Alice, one of the strong contestants in the Bigg Boss house, has had a tragic past. She had spoken her heart out in front of Nyra Banerjee and revealed spine-chilling details of her dad’s suicide.
Alice Kaushik becomes emotional recalling her dad’s suicide
Alice Kaushik’s life was not easy. After she lost her father, her mother also passed away a few years later. The emotional and shocking revelation by Alice Kaushik made her fans sympathetic towards her situation. In the recent episode of Bigg Boss 18 on October 22, 2024, Alice recalled the horrendous day when she received the horrible news that her dad was dead. Alice’s mother told her to call and check on her dad one day. When Alice called, her dad did not pick up the call, but someone else did.
Alice continuously told the person to give the phone to her father, but she was told that he had taken his life. Alice was shocked, dazed and could not believe what she had heard. She said:
“Phir unhone mujhe wo photo WhatsApp par bhej di aur wo photo kahi saalo tak meri aakho ke samne se nahi gayi.”
Alice Kaushik revealed to Nyra Banerjee that her late father was violent
Alice Kaushik had also told her co-contestant, Nyra Banerjee that her parents had a challenging relationship. Alice said that her parents never had a good equation with one another. Alice Kaushik also added that her father was violent with everyone at home. Despite the trauma, Alice used to feel close to her dad, thinking that he understood her more than her mother. Alice also confessed to Nyra that her father did not spare her and was violent with her too.
Alice Kaushik recollected what the cops told her about her dad’s suicide
In the same interaction, Alice remembered how her dad’s body was brought for the last rites. The words of the police official had left a deep wound in her heart. She said:
“Unhone mujhe wo rope hath mein de di aur kaha, isse kiya tha. I don’t know why did he do that, why did he hand over that rope to me. Maybe he did not have any feelings or emotions.”
Alice Kaushik’s life after her dad’s suicide
Alice Kaushik had also told Nyra Banerjee that her mother had remarried twice. Alice, ended up moving out of her house. This was because the person Alice’s mom married was not a good man. For the unversed, Alice’s mom passed away in 2023.

Talking about Alice Kaushik’s personal life, she is in a relationship with Kanwar Dhillon. The duo fell in love during their stint in the serial, Pandya Store. Alice Kaushik had told her friend Eisha Singh that she was approached for marriage directly by Kanwar. He did not believe in the concept of “love” or “liking”.
