Kajol wiil appear next in Do Patti , scheduled to be released on OTT on October 25, 2024. Kriti Sanon, together with Kanika Dhillon, produced the movie and Kriti is playing a double role as per the trailer. Kajol portrays a cop in the story and Kriti felt thrilled to include her in the team. The trailer released a few days earlier. In a recent interview, Kajol shared how her children Nysa and Yug Devgn responded to it.
Kajol’s kids enjoy Do Patti trailer, but they won’t watch the film
Kajol said both her children saw the trailer of Do Patti and told her that they very much enjoyed it. The DDLJ actress remarked that she had requested them to see the entire movie. Kajol also shared that her son just nodded, while her daughter Nysa gave reasons, as she was in Switzerland at university with exams coming soon. Kajol could only ask Nysa to watch the film when she had time. In her words:
“They have both seen the trailer of Do Patti and told me they really liked it. They thought it was nice, and I have told them they have to watch the film now. My son just nodded, but Nysa said things like, ‘I am in Switzerland, I’m at university and I have exams coming up’ All I could do was request her to watch it whenever she gets time.”
Kajol says her children can’t differentiate between the reel and reality so they don’t watch her films
Kajol also revealed why her children don’t like to watch her films. The actress said whenever in the film, if she is crying, her children feel sad, and they feel like their mother is crying for real. Whatever Kajol has done in the scene they felt their momma is doing it in real life. The actress stressed that Nysa and Yug are unable to differentiate between the reel and reality. Kajol further said that watching her performances affects them to the core.
Kajol blackmails her son, Yug, for watching her film, Do Patti
Kajol added that since her daughter is studying abroad, she can’t force her to watch her films. The actress jokingly said that she could blackmail her son, Yug, for watching his momma’s film. But it won’t be fruitful because they simply don’t want to watch their mother’s films. In her words:
“It’s because when my character cries, they feel like their mumma is crying for real. Wherever my character does, they think I’m doing it in real life. They can’t separate the two. Watching my performances really affects them. My Daughter is studying abroad, but I can blackmail them. I try, but they don’t want. to”.
Kriti Sanon then interrupted and said that Kajol wasn’t crying in this film. Then Kajol said that she is rather slapping people around in this movie. In her words:
“Yes, I will tell them I’m not crying this time in fact I’m slapping people! I really hope they will watch this one.”
