For the uninitiated, Shalini, the wife of businessman Sanjay Passi, has been on the Netflix series since its third season. According to a report by News18, a troller on social media reportedly slammed Maheep Kapoor for her fake accent. Shalini Passi left no stone unturned in supporting her friend.
Shalini Passi supports Maheep Kapoor, who was called a ‘ sasti copy’
A Reddit user noted that Maheep Kapoor was slammed on social media for her accent. The alleged user had taken to Shalini’s comment section on the video, on Instagram which she shared, and also had Maheep. The alleged user wrote a mean comment about how Maheep was a cheap copy of a pretentious didi who had just landed in Canada with a newfound accent. The second user agreed to the same.

Shalini Passi had commented on the video with a heart emoji. However, social media users could not understand the meaning of her reaction. However, a few users tried to dissect her comment and make the conclusion that she was trying to turn a negative comment into a positive side. A few of them commented:
“Shalini has been very active liking everything and replying to fan comments n all so it could be an accident. Shalini probably doesn’t handle her social media. When you hire a PR team, they get access to your social media. She probably uses her private profile more. This could be just another PR gimmick to get everyone talking about Shalini and Maheep. See no one’s perfect and especially these rich and fake people. , but Shalini was the one who got bullied for literally everything she did on the show,, (yeah I know,she might have her hidden evil thing as well, MAYBE), but out of all those ladies, Shalini was the best and most entertaining..Heck that season was literally 1 vs 6. So I am supporting Shalini at this stage.”

Even in the earlier seasons, Bollywood Wives faced the wrath of trolls and criticisms. The wives became the center of attraction for all the naysayers. However, audiences resonated with the series ever since Shalini came on board. Maheep, earlier, in an interview with Gulf News, had revealed that haters don’t hate on the inconsequential. She said:
“Hate me, I am fine with it… They have trolled the greatest of greats in this Bollywood industry. So I am in good company… Bring it on, I don’t mind haters”.
