Allu Arjun was released on December 14, 2024, after the court granted interim bail to the Pushpa 2: The Rule actor on a personal bond of Rs. 50,000. According to reports, Allu Arjun was detained under the charges of Section 118 (1) and Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. For the uninitiated, during the stampede, a woman named Revathi lost her life while her son was critically injured and was battling for his life in the hospital.
Allu Arjun shares a note on Instagram, revealing why he didn’t meet the young fan, who is in critical condition
After Allu Arjun was released, people started bashing him for not meeting the minor, who was fighting for his life in the hospital. On December 15, 2024, Allu Arjun took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture consisting of a long note. In the note, he revealed why he decided not to meet the minor or his family in the hospital.
Pushpa 2: The Rule actor started his note by sharing that he is deeply concerned about the young Sri Tej, who is in critical condition due to the unfortunate stampede incident. Addressing people’s concerns, Allu Arjun also revealed the reason why he didn’t visit the hospital to meet young Sri Tej. The South Indian megastar shared that his legal team advised him not to meet the young kid due to the legal proceedings. However, Allu Arjun added that he has constantly prayed for his recovery.
Further, on the same note, Allu Arjun mentioned that he is committed to taking responsibility for all the expenses related to Sri Tej’s medical expenses and family needs. The actor wished the young kid a speedy recovery and also added that he is eagerly waiting to meet his young fan as soon as possible. As soon as Allu Arjun’s clarification note appeared on Instagram, people started lauding the actor for his response. An excerpt from Allu Arjun’s note can be read as:
“My prayers remain with them and I remain committed to taking responsibility for addressing the medical and family needs.”
According to a report in Free Press Journal, Allu Arjun slept on the floor and didn’t eat anything during his stay in jail. The South Indian superstar was jailed as an undertrial prisoner in a Class-1 room at Manjira Barracks. As per Allu Arjun’s lawyer, Ashok Reddy, the High Court has given a simple and direct order to release his client, but the government authorities didn’t release him on time. Not only this, Allu Arjun’s lawyer even labelled his detention as ‘illegal’. Here’s what he said in a statement to the media. He said:
“You should question the government and the department why they have not released the accused. The High Court order is very specific. Forthwith, the moment you (prison authorities) receive the order, (they should) release him. Despite the clear order, they have not released, they have to answer. This is an illegal detention. We will take legal steps.”
