The turns and twists of life can never be foreseen. One moment of happiness can even prove to be the last moment of life as well if it’s destined. A similar incident happened when a 24-year-old young woman died as she went to Delhi’s amusement park with her fiance, Nikhil. The couple wanted to enjoy their weekend, but it turned out to be a nightmare.
24-year-old bride-to-be dies as she fell off a ride while visiting Delhi’s amusement park
The 24-year-old victim, identified as Priyanka, went to the Fun-n-Food Water Park near Kapashera in South West Delhi with her fiance. The incident reportedly happened on April 3, 2025. The couple arrived at the amusement park and enjoyed the water work from 1 pm till the evening. It was at 6.30 pm when they decided to enjoy the rides, and Priyanka went on the roller coaster. Little did she have an idea that it would end all of her dreams. As per what Priyanka’s fiance Nikhil told police, it was known that no sooner did she sit on the ride the stand broke, and she fell off from a height, causing her to sustain deep injuries.
After Priyanka fell off the ride, her fiance, Nikhil took her to the hospital, but her extremely deep injuries commanded her life. As per the police, Priyanka has sustained deep wounds, including a laceration on the right leg, a deep wound on the left leg, and deep cuts on her forearm and knee. The incident happened after the swing-like ride on which Priyanka was sitting malfunctioned, and the supporting stand broke, resulting in her plummeting from a height. Talking about the incident, police said:
“During the roller-coaster ride, when the swing reached its peak, the stand broke, and Priyanka fell straight down.”
Priyanka’s brother, Mohit blames the park authorities for their lack of safety measures
The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem, and an FIR was also filed, depending on Priyanka’s fiance, Nikhil’s statement, and the police have started investigating the same matter. Priyanka’s brother, Mohit blamed the park authorities for the lack of safety measures. He stated that after the accident, his sister was taken to the hospital late, which showcased negligence due to which she lost her life. He also raised questions about why the park was even opened when the rides needed to be repaired. The park was closed after the incident, and no response about the same was given by the authorities as of now. In Mohit’s words:
“After Priyanka fell, she was taken to the hospital late, due to which she lost her life. If the swings in the amusement park needed repairs, then why were they opened? In such a situation, they [the park authorities] are playing with people’s lives.”
Priyanka was about to get married within a few months, and she wanted to do something with her career
Priyanka got engaged to Nikhil back in 2023, but the wedding was postponed as she wanted to establish herself financially and stand beside her family before her wedding. Priyanka was employed as a sales manager at a telecom company. Priyanka and Nikhil’s families agreed to their decision to postpone their wedding, and it was about to happen next year in February. Priyanka’s brother stated that the couple had so much love and understanding among them.
