Sreeleela and Kartik Aaryan are busy shooting for Anurag Basu’s much-anticipated musical romance. Amid the excitement for their upcoming film, a shocking video of the actress being forcibly pulled into a crowd while walking with her co-star has recently taken the internet by storm. While Sreeleela looks distressed and shocked at this situation, Kartik Aaryan continues to walk ahead, completely unaware of the situation unfolding behind him.
Sreeleela gets dragged into the crowd despite security
A recent clip went viral on the internet after a paparazzo account shared it on April 6, 2025. In the video, Sreeleela and Kartik are seen walking through what seems to be a crowd of fans. Even though the actors were surrounded by their crew, Sreeleela, who was trailing behind Kartik, was suddenly dragged by her top’s sleeve into the crowd by an unknown fan. Her team immediately rushed to her rescue and pulled her back to safety.
Sreeleela, who was visibly shaken by the unexpected pull, quickly regained her composure and continued to walk ahead. Meanwhile, her co-star, Kartik, did not notice the scruffle at first. He turned around briefly at the commotion but appeared unaware of what had just happened.
Internet slams the lack of security
The video has since taken the internet by storm, with users reposting it on X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit to express deep concern for the safety of actresses like Sreeleela. Angry netizens slammed the security arrangements. One Redditor wrote, “Really shocked watching this video if I was that bouncer I would’ve beat the shit out of person who pulled her like that.” A second user commented, “That’s not good she must file a complaint or something so that people don’t pull such stunts in future.” A third post slammed the lack of action from Kartik, saying, “The superstar walking ahead didn’t even look back properly. Disappointing.”
Real incident or a film scene?
Interestingly, the viral clip also led to some confusion online. With multiple videos from the film’s set being leaked in recent weeks, fans wondered whether this was a real incident or a scripted scene from the film. One Reddit user wrote, “If this is a scene, I’m okay with it. But it didn’t look like one.” Another added, “Hope this is staged, because if not, it’s horrifying.” A third user wrote, “BTS of their movie has leaked (or purposely spread to create hype) so much that it’s hard to assume whether this is a scene from their shoot or its a real incident.”
About Sreeleela-Kartik’s upcoming film
After her appearance at the pan-Indian blockbuster, Pushpa, Sreeleela is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan in this Anurag Basu directorial, backed by T-Series. While the film’s title hasn’t been officially announced, it’s being assumed to be the third instalment in the Aashiqui franchise. The romantic musical is expected to hit theatres this Diwali.
A teaser from the film that surfaced earlier featured Kartuk Aaryan sporting a grungy rockstar look, strumming a guitar and singing Tu Meri Zindagi Hai. The pairing of Kartik and Sreeleela has already piqued the audience’s interest. Reportedly, they are currently visiting Darjeeling for shoots.
