The iconic Los Angeles-based band, known for its infectious blend of pop, rock and funk, took the stage at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai amidst thunderous applause to deliver a powerhouse performance featuring songs from its three-decade-long discography.
Maroon 5’s stellar line-up includes frontman Adam Levine, lead guitarist James Valentine, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Sam Farrar, keyboardist PJ Morton and drummer Matt Flynn.
The evening began on a high note with singer and record producer Zaeden delivering an electrifying opening act, followed by DJ Mailbox, who kept the crowd’s energy soaring with his dynamic beats.
When Maroon 5 came onstage Adam Levine’s unmistakable voice soared through the opening beats of ‘Animals’. As the band transitioned into ‘One more night’ and ‘This love’, its signature mix of sultry vocals and pulsating rhythm had fans singing in perfect harmony.

Adam took an interactive break to connect with the audience, expressing his awe at the warmth of the Indian fans and said, “All I can tell you guys is, we’re sorry we’re late but we made it and that’s what’s important! We’re just so happy to be happy with you guys.”
Midway through the show, ‘Stereo hearts’ struck a nostalgic chord, its beats weaving seamlessly into ‘Harder’, ‘Lucky strike’ and ‘Sunday morning’.
Adam commanded the stage with his trademark charisma, effortlessly navigating the falsettos of ‘Payphone’ and the sultry charm of ‘What lovers do’, the infectious energy of ‘Makes me wonder’, the enchanting ‘I wanna be your lover’, the raw intensity of ‘Heavy’ and the anthemic beats of ‘Maps’.
Adam did not have to sing ‘Memories’, as fans took over, singing in unison, phone lights swaying like stars, creating an ethereal atmosphere that lingered long after the song had ended.
The poignant vibe continued with the reflective tones of ‘Don’t wanna know’ and the tender emotions of ‘Love somebody’.

As the tempo picked up, ‘Moves like Jagger’ turned the racecourse into a dance floor. And just when it seemed the night couldn’t get any better, the band delivered an encore that was a perfect trifecta: the soulful and tender ‘She Will Be Loved’, the empowering ‘Girls like you’ and ‘Sugar’, with the crowd erupting in applause as fireworks lit up the sky.
A truly heartfelt moment unfolded when Adam noticed a fan, Suman, holding a bouquet for the band and he invited her on stage. Adam graciously accepted the bouquet with a hug from a teary-eyed Suman before breaking into ‘She will be loved’, singing to her.
Suman responded with, “Your songs have been the journey of my life”.
