Aryan Khan recently spoke about his dad’s hidden talent as a marketing mastermind. In a recent interview with L’Officiel Arabia, the young entrepreneur and budding director opened up about his flourishing luxury streetwear brand, D’YAVOL, and how his father and Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, has been a secret weapon in its success.

Aryan Khan is not just a star kid, he’s an entrepreneur who has established a luxury fashion apparel brand, D’YAVOL. His brand was recently featured on the cover of the magazine, L’Officiel Arabia, posing with his dad in D’YAVOL’s latest collection. The duo looked dapper in baggy jeans and T-shirts. The young Khan was seen pairing his jeans with a dark t-shirt with graphic prints, while SRK sported a white tee.
Later, in an interview with the same magazine, Aryan praised his dad by calling him a global fashion icon, highlighting his mastery in connecting with audiences and his trendsetting fashion sense. He told the magazine:
“My father is perhaps one of the smartest marketing minds, apart from being deeply connected to audiences, and is himself a global fashion trendsetter…Giving a hundred per cent to everything you do no matter how big or small, is what my father has imbibed in me.”
Aryan’s success is not limited to the fame of his father. He has also benefited from his global upbringing and establishing a diverse team for his brand’s unique and universally appealing aesthetic. He explained:
“I’ve been fortunate enough to have had quite a broad exposure to the world having done school in the UK and college from the States… There aren’t too many cultural barriers, which allows me to have a very universal approach to anything I do. I feel this permeates into all the work I do… At D’YAVOL, we are also quite a diverse team, so this mix of nationalities and perspectives feeds into what we do on a daily basis.”
Aryan’s brand had previously been criticised for its ‘ridiculously expensive’ prices
Aryan’s fashion brand, D’YAVOL X was launched in April 2023 through its official website and people were quite shocked at the ‘ridiculously expensive’ prices of its apparel collection. Soon, it was understood that his clothing brand was not for all customers, it targeted a specific demographic. Talking about the same, Aryan expressed:
“Our ideal customer is someone who understands luxury but is also seeking out a more modern, high-end but casual product. I don’t think streetwear is opposed to luxury… We don’t mass produce our products, and everything that goes out from the brand is something that I would personally wear… So, it’s not about shipping out a new design every week or just being exclusive in name, but about genuinely challenging ourselves to produce great products that resonate with our customers.”
Apart from his brand, Aryan Khan is all set for his directorial debut with the web series, Stardom, which is dropping on November 11, 2024. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is appearing with his daughter, Suhana Khan in the upcoming film, King, directed by Sujit Bose.
