Sunita Ahuja recently sat down for a candid chat with Hindi Rush, during which she opened up about a controversial remark Raveena Tandon once made to Govinda. According to Sunita, the actress had told him that she would have married him if she met him earlier. However, Sunita, not one to back down, had a quip ready for her. She playfully said:
“Raveena bolti hai abhi bhi, Chi Chi (Govinda’s nickname) tu mujhe pehle milta, mai tere se shaadi karti. Maine kaha le jaa, pata chalega tere ko.”
For the unversed, Govinda and Raveena starred opposite each other in several films in the 1990s and 2000. Their movies like Sandwich (2006), Dulhe Raja (1998), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998), and Aunty No 1 (1998) hold a special place in the hearts of fans to this day. Raveena isn’t just a coworker of Govinda but also a good friend. The actress proved her genuine love for him by visiting him in the hospital after he accidentally shot himself in the foot.

During Govinda’s recent appearance on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, he revealed a joke Shilpa had cracked about how he was shot. Shilpa had asked Govinda that if Sunita wasn’t at home, then who shot him in the foot? Sunita Ahuja opened up about her response to the joke in the interview with Hindi Rush, saying:
“Toh maine bola, ‘Shilpa, agar mai goli maarte toh sine pe maarti, pair pe nahi maarti’. Kaam karo toh poora karo nahi toh mat karo.”

The remark caused a bit of controversy, so Sunita addressed the same in the interview with Hindi Rush. She confirmed that she had been joking. Sunita added that she hadn’t had much cause for concern about Govinda having an affair with a co-star when he was in his prime. However, she was more worried now that he was in his 60s.

Earlier, in an interview with Hauterrfly, Sunita Ahuja voiced her thoughts on married men cheating. She emphatically requested women not to be overjoyed by their husbands remaining loyal because if they cheated, the other woman would stick around for years even after they separated. Sunita stated that even if a wife were to leave her husband, the other woman would not. She can be quoted as saying:
“I would like to fold my hands and tell women that don’t ever say that your partner is innocent (doesn’t cheat). If he does it, it will become so bad and no matter how hard you try to get rid of her, she won’t leave him for years. Even if you leave him, that woman won’t.”
