Yo Yo Honey Singh started his career in 2003 as a hip-hop music producer and worked for several years in the underground music scene until releasing his debut album, International Villager, in November 2011. The singer has since built a loyal fanbase and made a solid space for himself in the industry. However, his music is not the only thing fans know him for; he has also made headlines numerous times for his decade-long feud with Badshah. Recently, in an interview, the singer once again addressed his spat with the latter.
Honey Singh accuses Badshah of abusing him and mocking his illness
Honey Singh and Badshah’s feud seems like a never-to-end tale. The singer recently appeared in an interview with India Today, where he addressed his feud with the Akkad Bakkad singer and accused him of abusing him. Honey also claimed that Badshah has repeatedly targeted him over the decade with his songs and even poked fun at his illness. He was quoted saying:
“People often ask me about my controversy with Badshah. A fight happens between two people when both are involved, but for 10 years, one man kept abusing me, making songs about me, mocking my illness, and I never responded.”
Honey Singh, in the same conversation, shared that it was because his fans continuously urged him to speak up that he decided to address the issue. He also called Badshah a flipper and said that it was only about time that he would change again. Honey further revealed that he doesn’t consider such people to be anything. He stated:
“It was only this year that I started speaking up, and that too because of my fans. My fans sent me DMs saying, ‘Please speak up. This is about our dignity now. A man (Badshah) is continuously speaking ill about you.’ As a result, he apologised and admitted his mistake. But he is one of those who spits and then licks it back; just watch, he’ll flip again. I don’t consider people like that to be anything.”

Honey Singh had previously made an indirect dig at Badshah when he appeared on the episode of India’s Best Dancer vs Super Dancer: Champions Ka Tashan. The singer addressed his haters without naming Badshah. He also stated that there was no one like him in the industry, so he had no competition. For those who are not aware, the duo started out together in a rap group, Mafia Mundeer but parted ways after a public spat. He was quoted saying:
“First of all, I’m not even in the rap scene. I write a little, I sing a little. Jo main karta hu, mujhse behtar karne waale kam hai aur mujhse bekaar karne waale bahut saare. Mujh jaisa karne waala koi nahi hai, toh mera koi competition nahi hai. Half of them are my own descendants. Dekho mere haters ko hate mat karo, wo meri hi aulaade hai, woh meri hi hai nustle, kabhi karte the judge hustle.”
