Karan Aujla, currently a Punjabi pop sensation, is making waves with his India tour for his jaw-dropping ticket prices. As the Tauba Tauba singer gears up to perform in cities like Gurugram, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad, the staggering cost of attending his concerts has become the talk of the town. His ticket prices have even soared higher than those of Diljit Dosanjh, Maroon 5 and Coldplay!
Karan Aujla’s ‘It Was All A Dream’ tour ticket prices soared to Rs. 15 lakh
The recent and upcoming months are already booked with mega concerts all over India, with Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati tour, Dua Lipa’s electrifying Mumbai concert, Maroon 5’s debut concert, and the upcoming Coldplay concert. While some of the global icons have thrilled Indian audiences recently, Karan Aujla has definitely set a new benchmark.
The highlight of Aujla’s tour is his December 19 concert in Gurugram, where the top-tier VVIP Diamond pass is priced at a jaw-dropping Rs. 15 lakh. This exclusive pass allows the entry of 15 people and offers luxury perks, including eight premium bottles, two champagne bottles, unlimited beer, and mixers. For individuals attending, this boils down to Rs.1 lakh per person—a figure that surpasses even the biggest international stars who have performed in India recently.
Karan Aujla’s concert tickets outpriced the Diljit Dosanjh concert in Mumbai
What makes this pricing even more shocking is the comparison with other high-profile concerts. Just two days before Aujla’s Gurugram show, global Punjabi icon, Diljit Dosanjh is scheduled to perform in Mumbai. His most expensive lounge pass is priced at Rs. 60,000, less than half of Aujla’s per-person VVIP cost. Even Coldplay, set to perform in Ahmedabad in January 2025, sold their top-tier tickets for Rs. 35,000. Meanwhile, recent concerts by Maroon 5 and Dua Lipa sold their highest-priced tickets at Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 45,000, respectively.
Karan Aujla’s ticket price disparity across cities is raising questions
Comparing the price charts for Aujla’s shows across cities, fans have observed a disparity across cities, with the same VVIP package costing Rs.3 lakh in Kolkata, Rs. 6 lakh in Jaipur, and Rs. 6.5 lakh in Hyderabad. The cheapest ticket for his Ahmedabad concert, scheduled for December 31, 2024, is priced at Rs. 2,749.
In comparison, the most expensive ticket for Coldplay’s upcoming concert in Ahmedabad is priced at Rs. 35,000, with the cheapest tickets starting at Rs. 2,500. Diljit’s most expensive ticket in Mumbai is Rs. 60,000, with entry-level tickets starting at Rs. 4,999. This disparity has raised the bar for upcoming concerts.
Chandigarh police receives a formal complaint against Karan Aulja ahead of his Indian tour
Karan’s eight-city India arena, ‘It Was All A Dream’ tour will kick start on December 7, 2024, in Chandigarh. Ahead of his tour, the Chandigarh police received a complaint from Professor Panditrao Dharnevar for some of his songs, including Alcohol 2, Chitta Kurta, Bandook, Adhia, and Few Days. Dharnevar also threatened to file for defamation against Chandigarh’s SSP and DGP if Aujla sang these songs in the concert, considering its potential negative influence on the audience.
