Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, prayed and visited the shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath in the beautiful state of Uttarakhand on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He wore a beige-toned Nehru jacket with a white kurta-pajama for the event. Ajendra Ajay, President of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), greeted Mukesh Ambani with great warmth when he arrived in Badrinath.

Mukesh Ambani, who visits the sacred sites every year, donated Rs. 5 crore to the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) following prayers at the Kedarnath temple in Rudraprayag district and the Badrinath temple in Chamoli district. His annual visits underscore his commitment to honouring religious traditions and supporting spiritual institutions. Last year, Mukesh Ambani also visited the pilgrimage but was accompanied by his family. Such visits reflect his faith and contribute to the upkeep and development of these revered temples.

Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham portals set to close for winter pilgrimage season

The Kedarnath Dham will close for pilgrims on November 3, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., following tradition for Bhaidooj. In winter, Lord Kedarnath is worshipped at the Omkareshwar temple, while the Himalayan site is snow-covered. Each year, lakhs of pilgrims from India and abroad visit Kedarnath Dham.

The Badrinath Dham will close for winter at 9:07 p.m. on November 17, 2024, Gangotri on November 2, 2024, Tungnath on November 4, 2024, and Madhyamaheshwar on November 20, 2024. These Uttarakhand temples, which attract lakhs of devotees annually, close during winter due to heavy snowfall.
