Nana Patekar admits he would have ended up in the underworld if he hadn’t become an actor
Nana Patekar recently sat for a candid chat with Siddharth Kannan, during which he opened up about what might have happened had he not become an actor. According to the Tadka star, he would have likely ended up in the underworld due to his notorious temper. Nana further confessed to having a rather fiery past with several fights, many of which he couldn’t even remember anymore.
While speaking to Siddharth, Nana stated that he was the type to stay silent and let his ‘actions do the talking.’ The actor, who is renowned for his bold personality and impactful roles, can be quoted as saying:
“People were scared of me. I was too violent. I didn’t speak much; I would let my actions do the talking. I am less violent now. But, even today, if someone triggers me, I end up beating them up. If I had not become an actor, I would have been in the underworld. I am extremely serious about this.”
When Nana Patekar slapped a fan on the sets of Vanvaas
For the unversed, Nana Patekar was embroiled in a major controversy after he slapped a fan on the sets of Vanvaas. Nana had been shooting in Varanasi when the man walked onto the set and tried to get a selfie with the actor while he was in between shots. Despite the man being a fan, his actions didn’t sit right with Nana, who ended up slapping him. The incident was captured on camera and went viral soon after being posted to social media. The actor later apologised for his actions.
Earlier, in an interview with News18 Showsha, Nana Patekar recalled the incident and honestly admitted that slapping the fan was ‘wrong.’ However, at the same time, he noted that people should know the appropriate time and place to express their adoration for someone. In Nana’s words:
“One person had come, it had become a controversy. I slapped him, however, it was wrong. He came out of love. He didn’t know that we were in between a shot. He came in between the shots and tried to take a selfie. I slapped him, which was wrong. But there is a place to express your love for a person. (If he had) come after I have completed the shot, I won’t have an issue. But at that, it became a big controversy.”
