Sachin Pariyar was a popular Nepali child singer. He rose to fame with his iconic song, Otha Kholera. According to the reports, Sachin was being treated in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, where he passed away from cardiac arrest on January 2, 2025. The hospital sources confirmed that the singer was battling several severe health conditions for years, and even after extensive treatment, his health kept on deteriorating, leading to his unfortunate demise.
Sachin Pariyar’s family is heartbroken as they perform his last rites
Since the news of Sachin Pariyar’s demise was confirmed, fans have been left heartbroken. The young singer was only 15 years old. However, despite his young age, he made a big name for himself in the Nepali entertainment industry. Even though the hospital confirmed that Sachin had been battling multiple health conditions for years, his demise did not come easy for his family.
Losing a child can never be easy, let alone losing them at such a young age. The video surfacing on the internet shows no different side of the painful tragedy. In the video, from the singer’s last rites, his parents can be seen crying their eyes out as they bid goodbye to their son. Sachin’s mother’s shrilling cries tore through hearts as she agonised after losing her son.
Sachin’s father was also seen walking with the support of people as he prepared to face the most difficult truth as a parent. In another clip, Sachin’s mother was seen next to the singer’s body, covered in flowers, and a red powder (kumkum) is applied to his forehead. The video was absolutely heartbreaking.
Sachin Pariyar was admitted to the hospital on December 28, 2024
According to the reports, Sachin Pariyar was admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital with a high fever, seizures and altered consciousness on December 28, 2024. A video showed the singer being rushed inside the hospital on a stretcher. However, his condition worsened, and he developed several complications, including pneumonia, multiple organ dysfunction, acute kidney injury, encephalopathy, and a bleeding disorder.
For the unversed, encephalopathy is a condition where the brain function or structure is affected by an infection, tumour, injury, or exposure to toxins. The medical staff at the hospital tried their best to save the little singer with intensive care, ventilatory support, antibiotics, and blood transfusions. However, even after the extensive measures, the doctors could not save Sachin, and he passed away on January 2, 2025.

The Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital released a statement on January 2, 2025, and shared that Sachin Pariyar was receiving treatment for a congenital trilateral ventricular cyst. The child artist had to undergo neurosurgery for the brain condition. In addition to that, Sachin was also managing several medical issues, including central diabetes insipidus, a rare disorder affecting the regulation of fluids in the body, which required daily medication.
