Shahid Kapoor is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood, but his latest release, Deva, seems to have missed making its mark on the users. The film was recently released on the OTT platform, Netflix and netizens have noticed an error that has left them in splits. Fans seem to have captured a mistake in the editing of one of the scenes in the film, which has now surfaced online.
Deva’s address editing error
Recently, a post appeared on the discussion platform, Reddit. The post showed a hand holding a mobile with what seemed to be a wedding invite on it. The beige-coloured invitation was for the wedding of Shahid Kapoor’s character, ‘Dev’ and Pooja Hegde’s ‘Diya’, with the date of September 23, 2023.
However, that was not what captured the eye of the netizens; it was the address mentioned below. Instead of mentioning a valid address, the film’s editing team seems to have forgotten to change the pre-existing test. In the screengrab shared online, the address was clearly visible and read:
“123 Anywhere St. Any City.”
Netizens react to the post
The error made netizens wonder if Deva’s team had made an honest mistake or if it was ignorance and laziness. A user penned, “That’s a Canva template, and they haven’t bothered editing it. That’s how it’s written on the templates for you to edit…anywhere street, any city.” Another wrote, “Only Doraemon’s Anywhere door can take us there.” A commenter stated how the team was being arrogant and said, “I would say arrogance… Ye sab kaun dekhta hai kind of attitude.”
While some who had not yet watched the film stated, “TBH, it might be a template she sent to her boyfriend on WhatsApp. As in the movie, they just mention getting married after an engagement. So this could be just her sending a design to ask his opinion.” Another penned, “Somewhere out there, a post-production intern is getting scolded LOL.” A user humorously joked and said, “This is where I take my girlfriend when she wants to go on a date.”

Shahid Kapoor starrer Deva was officially announced in May 2023. The principal photography began in October of the same year, and the film was wrapped in 2024. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film was produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur under Roy Kapur Films. The film is a remake of a 2013 Malayalam film, Mumbai Police, which was made by the director, Rosshan Andrrews himself. The film starred Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati in key roles as well. The film was released on January 31, 2025, but failed to impress the audience despite being lauded by the critics.
