Her longtime partner, Lloyd Klein, revealed that Wildenstein passed away peacefully after taking a nap on New Year’s Eve. She reportedly died from a pulmonary embolism at a Parisian palace. Klein confirmed her death, sharing that she went “very peacefully” in her sleep. The couple, who had been engaged since 2017, had been spending time together in Paris. Wildenstein, who became one of the wealthiest women in the world after receiving a $2.5 billion divorce settlement from art collector Alec Wildenstein, is survived by her daughter Diane and son Alec Junior.
