The Hollywood award season officially kickstarted with the 82nd Golden Globe nominations being revealed by Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut tonight. Payal Kapadia’s Cannes-Winning All We Imagine As A Light received a nomination in the Best Motion Picture – (Non-English Language). Payal Kapadia also won a nomination in the Best Direction (Motion Picture). After winning the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, All We Imagine As Light has been also shortlisted by France to represent the country at the Oscars 2025.

The 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards is set to air live from the Beverly Hilton on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025 at 5 p.m. Nikki Glaser will host the 2025 Golden Globes, and Emmy-winning producers Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner are set to serve as showrunners, for the second year in a row. It was previously announced that Viola Davis will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Ted Danson will receive the Carol Burnett Award, which recognizes TV excellence.
