The Kapoor clan visited Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on December 10, 2024. The group, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and others, travelled to New Delhi to pass a special invitation to the Prime Minister. The Kapoor family visited the PM’s residence to share the special invitation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Kapoors will be celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary actor, Raj Kapoor, and they have decided to commemorate the filmmaker’s life and works with a nationwide screening of some of his most iconic films. During their conversation, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi poked fun at Raj Kapoor’s daughter, Reema Jain, after she couldn’t pronounce the words ‘Adarniya Pradhan Mantri’ properly.
After the visit, a special video from the Prime Minister’s Office was released. The video showed the family’s special moments with PM Modi, in which the family was seen discussing the captivating era of Raj Kapoor. During the conversation, Reema admitted she was nervous about meeting with PM Modi. Ranbir Kapoor revealed that his bua, Reema, was unsure about what to address the PM, to which the latter comforted her and said that they could call him anything as he, too, is their family. Reema was then seen addressing him as ‘Adarniya Pradhan Mantri’ but fumbled, to which PM Modi took a jab at her and announced ‘cut’, lightening up the room.

Reema Jain further expressed her immense gratitude to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, for meeting her and the family. She joined the Kapoor clan to present a special gift to PM Modi while also extending an invitation to the Raj Kapoor Film Festival. The festival is scheduled to take place this weekend in Mumbai to celebrate 100 years of Raj Kapoor.

The Kapoor family will be honouring Raj Kapoor’s legacy
The Kapoor family has decided to celebrate 100 years of Raj Kapoor’s legacy by hosting a film festival. The festival will play 10 of his biggest films of all time. It is scheduled to feature Raj Kapoor’s most celebrated works, which span over almost four decades.
The festival will showcase films including Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949), Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Jagte Raho (1956), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Sangam (1964), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973) and Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985). Kapoors has also decided to make a special feature film in remembrance of Raj Kapoor and his legacy. The film is reportedly being produced by Raj Kapoor’s daughter, Reema Jain’s son, Aadar Jain.
