Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s two Baahubali movies became game changers when it came to south dubbed films in Hindi earning big at the box office. Since then, there have been a number of south Indian films that have gone onto earn huge in their Hindi dubbed version. The latest example is filmmaker Sukumar’s Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule, which has clocked a mammoth Rs. 72 crores in its Hindi version.
By doing this, the movie has achieved the highest opening day for a dubbed film by a large margin. The record was previously held by the Hindi version of the Kannada blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2, which made Rs. 53.95 crores on its opening day.
The third film in the list is Baahubali 2: The Conclusion with Rs. 41 crores. The next two films in the list are also Prabhas starrers in the form of Saaho and Kalki 2898 AD with Rs. 24.40 crores and Rs. 22.50 crores respectively. The sixth and seventh positions are acquired by 2.0 (Rs. 20.25 crores) and RRR (Rs. 20.07 crores).
