Recently, the actor elaborated on the differences in actors’ professionalism, praising stars like Alia Bhatt, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar for their work ethics.

Ram Kapoor says that earlier, the industry let actors be ‘spoilt’ brats but still treated them like stars 

Ram Kapoor recently appeared for a candid chat on the Let’s Talk With DevnaG podcast, during which he reflected on how the industry he had changed over time. He noted that earlier, an actor could have been a ‘spoilt brat’ but still be a ‘star.’ However, the same no longer held true. Ram then went on to praise the stars he had worked with, like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Abhishek Bachchan, for their incredible professionalism. According to him, their professionalism stemmed from the fact that they knew that’s what they had to do. 

Talking about Alia specifically, Ram stated that she had gained her current standing through her sheer dedication to her work. According to the actor, Alia’s professionalism could leave everyone shocked. He added:

“Today, Alia is who she is because she is so professional, it’ll shock you. All of them will come on set prepared, fully prepared. They will talk to the directors, yes sir, what do you want sir. You guys Have no clue. That’s the industry of today because if you’re not like that, get out.”

Ram Kapoor reveals that an actor had once kept the entire set waiting for two days in Switzerland

Ram Kapoor further noted that this change in professionalism had only occurred now. Talking about his early days in the industry, Ram stated that a lot of actors back then really treated ‘themselves like stars.’ Tactfully avoiding mentioning any names, Ram narrated:

“There were actors who made people wait for two-two days before coming on set. They were supposed to reach on Monday, they have reached on Wednesday. And where is the set? In Switzerland. ‘No, aaj unhone flight nahi li, the time will be long.’ 80 people waiting in a foreign country. I’m not mentioning names but the industry knows who I’m talking about.”

Ram Kapoor lauds Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan’s professionalism

In the same interview, Ram Kapoor also elaborated on the work ethics he had observed in stars like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. The actor mentioned that he had recently wrapped up a project with Akshay Kumar, and noticed that the latter was more professional than anyone he had ever worked with in his life. Ram also mentioned the names of Bollywood’s beloved Khans, Aamir, Shah Rukh, and Salman, while talking about phenomenal work ethics. However, elaborating a bit on Salman’s professionalism, Ram stated:

“Salman, I have seen him where he’s partying, where he’s drinking. In his house, I’ve drunk. He’s a darling. But then, when he gets into preparation for a film, he’ll go shoot till 12 in the night. , he’ll come back at 1 o’clock, and he’ll work out till 3 in the morning, and then he’ll sleep.”
