Sunny Deol recalls his photoshoot with Sanjay Dutt and Chunky Panday
Sunny Deol is busy promoting his film, Jaat these days. The actor has been dedicated to bringing back some real action films, and amid that, he sat down for a conversation with Bollywood Bubble. During the conversation, he recalled his time working with Sanjay Dutt and Chucky Panday and revealed how, back in the day, an actor’s physique would mean everything.
During the conversation, Sunny Deol opened up about a photo shoot he had with Sanjay Dutt and Chucky Panday. He recalled that back in the day, every actor would try and show off their muscles. He added that was how the industry used to be, and an actor’s physique was extremely relevant. He revealed that the taste of the audience kept on evolving,g and there were a lot of changes. He was quoted as saying:
“Yahaan par sab apne dole dikhaane ki koshish kar rahe hai. Uss waqt aise hi hota tha. I mean that time this was very relevant, and the thing that everybody liked was zamaana badalta reheta tha, cheezon ke rang badalte rehete the. But the picture is very vibrant.”
Sunny Deol worked with Chunky Panday in Paap Ki Duniya
Sunny Deol worked with Chunky Panday and Sanjay Dutt in the dramatic action film, Paap Ki Duniya. The film portrayed the story of two men who were separated by fate and were raised in two separate worlds. While Sunny Deol portrayed the role of a brave police officer, Chunky played the evil crime lord.
Sunny Deol on Gadar 2’s success
In the same conversation, Sunny Deol also opened up about the success of his sequel, Gadar 2. The actor revealed that while Gadar: Ek Prem Katha shut down his career and proved to be a hurdle in his trajectory, the sequel did the complete opposite and opened new doors for him. He added that the love he received was truly beautiful. He was quoted as saying:
“I think this is Gadar 2’s success party. Peheli baar maine aise kuch kiya hoga. Kai saalo se laga hua tha, peheli Gadar ne meri dukaan bandh ki aur dusri Gadar ne ekdum kholdi. Bahut pyaar mila tha, sab log aaye and it was so beautiful. It was one of those…I don’t know if that moment will ever come again? That was such a beautiful moment. It was utterly beautiful.”
About Sunny Deol’s film, Jaat
Sunny Deol is now streaming in theatres across the country. The film is Gopichand Malineni’s debut Hindi film, Jaat. The film also stars Randeep Hooda as an antagonist. Saiyami, Regena, Vineet Kumar Siingh, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Ramya Krishnan, Swarupa Ghosh can also be seen in key roles. The film was released in theatres on April 10, 2025.
