Shalini Passi’s humble personality, down-to-earth nature and larger-than-life lifestyle have left everyone in awe of her. The best part about Shalini is that she never shies away from expressing her innocence and feminine aura to the world. She is the same lady who bluntly said that she doesn’t hold regrets as they ruin the skin. Now, Shalini revealed that she was called bhenji for wearing suits during her school days.
Shalini Passi recalled being called bhenji for wearing suits
Recently, in an interview with Hautterfly, Shalini recalled being called bhenji for the choice of her clothing. She revealed that when she was growing up, she used to wear a suits, as she attended a lot of dance classes. So, people would pass the remark. She said:
“We used to wear a lot of school, as we had a lot of dance classes. Toh sometimes people would say, ‘You are bhenji and all. You are wearing a suit.'”
When the interviewer asked, “Bachpan mein?” Shalini replied with a yes. She added that she told the girls that the boys, who are sitting in the audience are not here to watch them dance.
“Toh I would say, ‘Yeh jo sab baithe hue hai na stage ke neeche, yeh dance dekhne ke liye nai baithe hai.’ They would say, ‘What do you mean’. I said, ‘You can see everything when you are sitting downstairs.’.”
Shalini further added that she likes her privacy and believes that if a girl is wearing something, it should be a ‘choice’ and should be respected. And people in her life had also respected it.
Shalini Passi recalled her postpartum struggles
Shalini, who got married to Sanjay Passi at the young age of eighteen, had her first child when she was 21. In the same interview, she recalled that childbirth wasn’t easy for her. After delivering her baby boy, Shalini lost sensation in her back. Recalling the stressful time, Shalini revealed that the doctor told her that she had to get injections in her spine for a lifetime. Not only this, but the doctor also informed her that she would not be able to wear heels and dance again. Shalini was quoted as saying:
“I had a back problem, so my doctor said that apko spine mein injection lena padega for the rest of your life. Mere legs or back mein sensation khatam hogya tha. So I went to the doctor with my husband and my mother. Toh doctor ne kaha ap ko injection lena every six months.”
Shalini revealed how she healed herself from an extreme back problem
Shalini further revealed that she left mid-appointment with the doctor. She got into her car and left for her dance class despite the doctor’s warning. Shalini stated that her mother and her husband thought that she had gone to the washroom, but she went to her dance class. Shalini revealed she could not live without dancing.
